Language Arts:
Today in class we read the chapter Vulcanizing up to page 66. We had a discussion about the importance of bystanders becoming allies. We also discussed the symbolism in the chapter, Bird Boy. We also discussed how Big Chris' actions tied into our Hunt Rights and Responsibilites as he accepted the consequences for his behavior instead of running away like a coward.
Math: We launched our team-wide Data Project. Students have detailed guideline sheets and have the opportunity to pursue a topic of their choice. You may want to check in with them regarding this project.
Science: Today was the big build day. We are impounding their crates and are looking forward to the big competition tomorrow. Just a reminder parents are welcome.
